![]() In the VIP version there are more than 40 different kinds of beds including familiar ones from IKEA, alongside dozens of desks, a cornucopia of cupboards and even a collection of copiers. The library of objects is very comprehensive. Creating a simple design such as a bedroom with an en-suite, including fixtures and furniture, took us all of two minutes. The interface is simple and friendly and the tools are well organised – so for example you might start with some external walls (or use one of the predefined layouts) before adding internal ones then you can switch to windows and doors before adding materials and populating your room(s) with furniture. It's exceptionally easy to use and you can create accurate and interesting designs even if you're a complete beginner. It's a shame about the pricing model because the app itself is excellent. The app is incredibly easy to use: you'll pick it up in seconds (Image credit: Carrie Marshall) ![]() This gives you all of these features and more on all of your projects.RoomSketcher's drawing tools are superb. You get access to the option to render 2D Floor Plans for free on the project, as well as change the material of your furniture - very cool! It is a great way to keep the cost down, without having to upgrade the entire account. Hi there, I am sorry to hear that you feel as if we have mislead you! The Premium Project upgrade is a great solution for those of our customers that only have need for, or want to work on, a single project. ![]() Room Sketcher has been a very pleasant and helpful tool for me. And most importantly, I am extremely happy with my final result, and know I have developed the most appropriate, aesthetic, ergonomic, and practical home for my current and future lifestyle needs and wants. There is enough detail that I can visualize my home. It provides final dimensions for the builder. I did find the app easy to learn and intuitive. An architect, no doubt, would not have accommodated the time frame, and number of iterations, I have performed. As the vision was starting to materialize on their app, I also realized, as an older, and empty-nester, home designer, that there were standard items and features common to most homes that I just would not use or miss, so have amended my design accordingly. I performed many iterations over several months. With Room Sketcher I was able to start much earlier than my anticipated start of construction and to take my time. ![]() I believe an inherent limitation of using an architect is not knowing exactly, at the outset, what you want your home to be, and/or not being able to properly articulate, so the end result may be as much your architect’s tastes and preferences as your own. That is very unreasonable if true, in my opinion. A Google search said architects typically charge 5-10% of the cost of the home. I wanted to avoid the cost of an architect. ![]()
